This was taken on Thanksgiving when Danny and Karen hosted our traditional family holiday meal. Danny was so proud to have all of us there. Left to right are: My sister in law Maureen, Danny, Me and my brother Kevin, who was called home last April. I know as a baby, we all lived together on Ivy Lane. I don't recall, as I was so young. When I was quite a bit older, I'd have to say that Danny had the smallest bedroom with the largest menagerie I'd ever seen in my life!! Reptiles, snakes, fish, mice, cats, a dog and so many more. And when I was about 10-11 Danny was my first crush. So handsome he was!!! I never told him that but he for sure knows now. ☺️
Danny was just a great guy and did great things! I wish we'd had more time to make up for lost time, as miles and distance separated us, but I do know that one day we'll see each other again. I Iove you Danny and I'll see you on the other side! XO

I am so sorry to hear of Dan's passing. . Dan was a fine man and co-worker. He will be truly missed at the West Norriton Home Depot. He was so knowledgeable and kind. He had customers that would look for him to help solve their problems. The associate in this store admired and relied on Dan's know-how. After 20 years with The Home Depot Dan made lots of friends, and he will be missed by each and every one of us.

The last thing we said to each other was I love you. That was just about a year ago.
As adults we didn't see each other much. As kids, there are so many great memories. The Sunday visits when the whole family would be together. I remember climbing the hill behind the house on Ivy Lane to see the skeleton of the calf. Just hanging out together was fun.
I know your mom and dad are happy you are with them. Heaven's gain is our loss.
Karen and your family will stay in my prayers. We will miss you. I LOVE YOU DANNY.

OK, so I don’t remember this picture because I am the baby being held by Danny’s mom. Him and I were only a year and a half apart but he felt like he was my big brother. When my parents split his mom and dad took my mom and myself and three siblings and we all moved into Ivy Lane. Through the graciousness and love we doubled up and tripled up in that tiny one bathroom house that was filled with so much love. My heart breaks for each of you for the loss that you feel because anybody who knew him will miss him. I have seen so many white butterflies and an occasional cardinal since he was called home. He reminds me so much of the kind of man my brother Kevin was as he was just called home last year. I hope they will spend many hours fishing together.

I just wanted to share one of the hundreds of great memories of Dano The Mano I’ve accumulated over the years. When I was preparing to ask Lindsay to marry me, I knew I’d have to ask Dan for his permission. I wasn’t worried about whether or not he’d say yes because the truth is that he had welcomed me into the family years earlier when I stopped going home in favor of hanging out with his daughter. Anyways, I told him that I loved his daughter very much and I wanted to spend the rest of my life with her. He didn’t say any of the cliche things dads say to their future son-in-laws (“Are you going to treat her right?”, “Are you going to give her everything she wants?”, etc.) Instead he just looked away for a moment and came back with his contagious smile and an outstretched hand. He said “We’d love to have ya.” That was Dan to me, he always loved to have ya and wanted you to feel like you were welcome. Dan taught me a lot over the years about love, fishing and mowing the lawn so that the blade cut perfectly straight. I’m gonna miss him like crazy but I know that wherever he’s at right now, he’s probably got a rooster tail chasing the biggest trout he’s ever seen. Thanks for the memories Dano. Til we meet again.
