I met John approximately 50 years ago when I was a young broker at White, Weld & Co. We continued our friendship until the end and he was a client of mine at Morgan Stanley.
John was a brilliant analyst and a very loyal friend.
He will be greatly missed. I wish he could see that one of his great calls for a turn-around stock, Obsidian Energy Ltd. (OBE) finally got listed on the NYSE and continues to do so well. Congratulations, John, on another great pick!
